Writing Error Correction Code

The following is a key to the correction code which I use when marking your written work. Please use it to correct your own mistakes as best as you can and return the corrected copy of your writing to me for re-checking.

Gr - Grammar (this includes a range of errors but a common one is incorrect verb form - infinitive/gerund/past participle)
T - Verb tense
agr - Agreement (between singular/plural subject + verb / pronoun + noun)
prep - Preposition
WF - Word form (noun, adjective, verb, adverb)
WW - Wrong word
WO - Word order
INF - Informal
Sp - Spelling
^  - Missing word(s)

Mock Exam Dates

The mock CAE exam will take place over two lessons on the following dates:

L/X Group: Wednesday 11 + Monday 16 February

M/J Group: Thursday 12 + Tuesday 17 February

Attendance at both exam sessions is compulsory, since the results constitute 30% of your final grade for the course, as well as providing a strong indication of your readiness to sit the CAE exam in June.

If you are unable to attend either of the sessions (for good reason), you will need to let me know as soon as possible so that we can arrange for you to sit the exam on an alternative date.
