Final Lesson Information
This is just to clarify the plan for Wednesday's lesson:
- Speaking tests: a Part 3 + Part 4 task (9 minutes) conducted in pairs outside the classroom
Remember that this test will only determine your speaking mark for the exam (forming 25% of your exam grade). Your overall speaking mark will be based on continuous assessment of your speaking in class (forming 10% of your total grade for the course)
- Final exam review: an opportunity to check the answers to the Listening, Reading and Use of English
- Writing error correction: self-explanatory, but you may wish to do this in pairs or small groups and discuss common errors and how to avoid them
- Course book listening/other exercises: we will do the last remaining listening task in Module 10 if time allows, and you may also wish to do some of the other exercises in this module (which you will find the answers to on the blog)
- Goal-setting: you are encouraged to reflect on your performance during the course, identify the areas most in need of improvement, and consider ways of working on these areas (as well as obviously acknowledge areas in which you have made good progress!)
To those of you who have NOT completed all writing tasks set during the course: Wednesday is your last chance to hand in writing! Bear in mind that your overall grade for the course will be affected if you have missed lots of homework tasks (since homework/coursework constitutes 20% of the assessment)
Any questions please get in touch!
